Happy Holidays

Looking for a great holiday deal consider a fine art print by David Lance Goines, I have a small collection That was given me by the artist sister in payment for a web site I did for her. To see the whole collection go to hot deals I am donating most of the proceeds of this poster to the memorial for the last human ever killed in the name of war.
An interesting bit of trivia which may even be true is the origin of the word Holidays, most people think it is holy days which is only partially true, it comes from India. They worshiped the village "crazy" person or Holi each year they had a day that everyone got to let loose and act crazy. So a Holiday is a time to get out of your mind, say like believing in world peace or Santa Claus.

Memorial

There has been some debate about creating a memorial for the veterans of the gulf war and desert storm, is it to soon, look how long it took to get one for ww2 vets ect. As a Viet Nam vet and coming from a family that has had a family member in every war since the revolutionary war, I decided that it is time to build a memorial to the Last Man/Woman ever  killed in the name of war. I am opening up a Comptetion to all Artist who would like to submit a design. I am soliciting feedback on where to put such a memorial (Geneva comes to mind) and open to the public voting for their favorite Artist. There is a suggested $5.00 us entry fee for submission which will be applied to the final commission. Also if you want to make a donation click the secure pay pal donation button. I will Keep you all informed of the progress towards this goal and when the response warrants it I will be giving the memorial its own web page. The wording on the plaque is open but a space will be left for a name and date plus Artist statement.

Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!

What is Art.

So what does any of this have to do with art? Glad you asked! I believe art is not so much what you do as how you do it. It is a way of seeing the world. We try to compartmentalize our thinking so that what we know has some measurable significance in comparison to the vastness of what we don’t know, or more precise what lies outside our consciousness. Just as the truth doesn’t care if we believe it’s the truth. What lies outside of my perception doesn’t make it any less real nor for that matter does it have any less affect on my life. Usually the effect is greater if I am unaware of how I am being affected. True art is conceptualization followed by manifestation. The all knowing they with anonymous as head spokesman (person); says that there is nothing new under the sun. Balderdash and pasha, there in truth is nothing ever duplicated. From the smallest grain of sand to us there are no identical twins in the universe. I would go so far as to say that if there were two the same one of them would be unnecessary. Well I could say that I stand corrected for I am copy pasting this into my blog, but then I have added this. One might say that atoms have to be the same or the world would fall apart, well they are not the same, similar but never identical. It has to do with nonlinear thought. Because we are just a relative point as far as time space and size and I say point for conversation purposes, because if you look in any direction from the micro to the macro you will see infinity. Speaking of infinity my mail has finally downloaded so it is back to work for know, more on art later.

Once more into the breach

Once again I am exploring a new avenue of my virtual life. It is the bent of my nature to constantly look around the next bend in the road. It is an interesting facet of this journey to be creating in a virtual world in front of a world wide audience. Stop back and see what developes tonight is short and sweet. I have been struggling with the coding in flash, I have a training videio and I do what looks like exactly the same thing but my code doesn't work the same. I'm not complaining just curious. To that end I am interested in developing a network of like minded people to share and comiserate about art life and computer generated Or augmented exospection.
